George Best

£50.00

The boy from the Cregagh Road who belonged to everyone.

While a shadow fell across the North, George Best stepped into the floodlights and gave us something pure to believe in. Growing up as the Troubles began to tear our country at the seams, Best chose a different language entirely. He didn't speak in politics, or flags, or bitter divides. He spoke in drops of the shoulder, impossible feints, and an elegant defiance of gravity.

He was a true Belfast boy who refused to be weaponized by either side. In a time of heavy silence and loud anger, his feet played a symphony that united us all in awe. Maradona good. Pelé better. George Best.

28.7cm x 37.7cm signed print of the original painting by Ryan Coyle. Limited edition of 30. Free postage and packaging in Ireland and UK.
