A geography born of the imagination. In this piece, I chose to rewrite the borders of Donegal, pulling the dramatic, piercing peak of Errigal and the ancient, stone-hewn shoulders of Muckish into a single, shared horizon. It is an impossible landscape, yet to anyone who loves this county, it feels entirely real. I wanted to paint a territory of the mind—where the wild giants of the Derryveagh mountains meet, converse, and rest beneath a vivid sky.
